Gabriele de Vecchi (1938 - 2011) was active/lived in Italy. Gabriele de Vecchi is known for Sculptures.
Gabriele Devecchi was born in Milan in 1938. Gabriele Devecchi was influenced decisively by his father, a sculptor and etcher, through whom he came in contact with the modernity of the pre- and post-war period, especially with Futurism and the industrial design. He worked in the silverware factory of his father; he there went on his first design drafts.
He joined the 'Group T' founded in 1959, which was influenced by the kinetic and the Op Art. Devecchi was a professor at the Design Academy of Brera, has published numerous books and won international awards. His works are today on display at major museum collections, including the MoMA in New York. Devecchi died in 2011. (cko)
